Time: 7-9 MAP (April-May). Main season of harvesting is April –May

Leaves dried and get withered. Complete yellowing & drying up of the plants.

Above ground plant parts are cut close to the field irrigated

Light irrigation should be given one day before harvesting.

Harvesting should be done by digging/ ploughing without causing damage to the rhizomes. The rhizomes are gathered by hand picking.

They are cleaned by removing the roots and adhering soil.
-
Finally, rhizomes are washed and mother are separated from fingers before they are cured.
