• Identification: Damage to lower stem causing lodging and plant wilting.
• Management: Remove previous crop residues, avoid partially decomposed FYM, and irrigate field when possible. Apply Fipronil granules @ 8 kg/acre followed by light irrigation; for patchy infestation, apply 2–3 granules per plant.
