Weeding

During the first 4 to 6 weeks, the plot is kept clean by hand weeding.

3-4 weedings are given depending on the strength of the weeds for a greater yield.
EARTHING-UP

Khurpi is used to break up fibrous roots in the soil around the plants, allowing new growth to develop.

The soil around the rhizomes loosens and becomes friable, which helps in healthy rhizome development. For proper rhizome growth and development, at least two earthing ups are required.
